Watercolour lesson 1.

This week we learned about 12 watercolour TECHNIQUES. We used wet in wet,  glazes and many others and finished with a simple seaside scene with clouds in a blue sky.

The aim is to develop your watercolour painting volcabulary so we can understand each other.

Your private study task, this week, is to try to paint the same sky as Susan Herron in this video. You learned all of the necessary techniques in this first lesson so you should be able to follow what she is doing and saying.

Watercolour sky

John Turner (1775-1851) was famous for his skies. Here are some examples. Maybe you can now begin to understand how some of the effects he achieved.
